Resolve Blanketweed Treatment provides an effective and straightforward way to control unsightly blanketweed in koi and ornamental fish ponds. It is designed to tackle existing blanketweed while also helping to reduce phosphate levels within the pond water.

Blanketweed can quickly become a problem in garden ponds, attaching itself to pond walls, waterfalls, pipework and other surfaces. If left uncontrolled, it can become unsightly and make routine pond maintenance more difficult.

Resolve provides pond keepers with a simple treatment that can be added directly to the pond without the need for pre-mixing.

Helps Reduce Phosphates

One of the key benefits of Resolve Blanketweed Treatment is its ability to help reduce phosphate levels.

Phosphate is one of the nutrients that can contribute to unwanted algae and blanketweed growth. By helping to reduce available phosphate within the pond, Resolve can help create conditions that are less favourable for excessive blanketweed growth.

The formula contains no algaecides, biocides, pesticides, ammonium compounds or metal salts.

When used according to the instructions, Resolve is suitable for ponds containing koi, other ornamental pond fish, aquatic plants and wildlife. It can also be used in ponds containing sturgeon and sterlets.

Effective at Lower Water Temperatures

Resolve is designed to remain effective at lower pond temperatures, making it useful during periods of the year when water temperatures have not yet reached their summer levels.

This can be particularly useful during spring when blanketweed may begin developing before the pond has fully warmed.

Simple to Apply

There is no need to dissolve or pre-mix Resolve in a bucket before use.

First calculate the volume of your pond accurately and measure the appropriate quantity of treatment. The measured product can then be sprinkled directly around the edges of the pond.

The UV clarifier can remain switched on during treatment.

Pond water may become slightly cloudy for approximately 3–4 days following application. This is normal and should clear.

Always ensure the pond has good aeration and adequate oxygen levels throughout treatment.

Resolve Blanketweed Treatment Dosage

Use 25g per 750 litres (165 UK gallons) of pond water.

If necessary, repeat the treatment every 10 days for up to 30 days.

Once the blanketweed has been brought under control, a monthly maintenance dose can be used to help reduce the likelihood of it returning.

Always calculate the actual volume of your pond as accurately as possible before measuring any pond treatment.

1kg Resolve

Treats up to 30,000 litres, approximately 6,600 UK gallons.

2kg Resolve

Treats up to 60,000 litres, approximately 13,200 UK gallons.

Before Using Resolve

Good pond aeration is important whenever treatments are being used. Make sure your air pumps, air stones and filtration system are operating correctly and that the pond is adequately oxygenated.

A KH above 2°dH is recommended. If you are unsure of your pond’s KH, test the water before treatment and use an appropriate KH buffer if required.

Maintaining good water quality and regularly checking parameters such as ammonia, nitrite, pH and KH is an important part of keeping koi and other pond fish in good condition.

Reducing excess nutrients entering the pond and maintaining the filtration system can also help provide better long-term control of unwanted algae growth.
